R.penguin is a pan-granular synthesis engine. The original sound sample was splited into different lengths of time grains, then hierarchically recomposed by the generative determinate/indeterminate algorithms. 
R.penguin 是個“泛“顆粒合成引擎。它可將聲音切成極小的段落，亦可以是巨量時間片段，加以調變後再次疊加組合。與一般顆粒合成不同之處在於，它可依使用者所指定的演算法或隨機程序來重組，產生出帶有時間階層架構的豐富聲音。
